Corkscrew Song Alert: Marineland campaign now in full gear

It has begun: The Marineland song is back for another seasonal recycling.

Yes, today marks the first sighting of the evil corkscrew theme song for the amusement part, and while I’ve nothing against orcas or dolphins or flacchbyrd seagulls, the song is a reminder that when watching TV, you must have a remote with a mute button; when streaming, you must block the audio feed; when listening to the radio, you must have the volume knob within reach. Failure to react pro-actively will damage your psyche.

This Public Service Announcement is brought to you by the Concerns Citizens Against Bad Jingles [CCABJ]. For further information and sampling of the said jingle, visit the YouTube link, albeit at your own risk.

Make yourself familiar with the full libretto, recognize the opening bars and intro lyrics, and be prepared, because only you can prevent Corkscrew Madness:

[duh-duh dah-dah!]

There’s a place I know in Ontario
Where the sea lions kiss, so the story goes
It’s amazing shows and Friendship Cove
Everyone loves Marine Land

You’ll be spinning, diving and soaring high
Our roller coaster ride will fly you to the sky
Now you know what you’ll say when you leave here today
Everyone loves Marine Land

[duh-duh dah-dah!]
